Barely Hall, which dates back to approximately 1360, has had a number of well-known owners over its history, but it is now a living museum of mediaeval life. This location used to be buried beneath a contemporary exterior until its ancient skeleton was exposed after significant restorations. Perfect for a Christmas visit, where you may hear terrifying tales of ghosts and ghouls, including one about a white-faced woman with a crazy laugh.
