Beacon Fell Country Park
Located in the Woodland of Bowland, Beacon Fell encompasses 110 hectares (271 acres) of forest, moorland, and farmland, and has spectacular views of Morecambe Bay.
Getting to the summit, which is 266 metres (873 feet) above sea level, will enable you to experience new levels of accomplishment and fulfilment.
The Park is home to a wide variety of animals, including rabbits and hares, which may be found in abundance.
Norber Erratics
Located just outside the Forest of Bowland borders, the lovely little town of Clapham is a great starting point for exploring northern Bowland and the Yorkshire Dales. To view the bizarre and beautiful Norber Erratics, we travelled to the Dales today. The boulders are a spectacular sight, with huge rocks resting on limestone that has been worn down over the past 12,000 years since the ice age subsided.
MarlesWood Walk
Marles Wood is located a mile east of Ribchester. There is lots of parking along the river, which is just a few steps away. This stretch of the River Ribble is very lovely, and some may argue that it is the best in the country for walking. Another alternative is to cross Dinkley Bridge and return down the other side of the river, but we opted to return up the river today.
