Box End Park | Day Out With The Kids

Box End Park is a family-owned and operated business dedicated to delivering high-quality facilities and outstanding customer service. The location was transformed from 100 acres of worthless farmland into a manicured parkland with top-of-the-line water-sports, conferencing, and dining facilities.

Two purpose-built lakes for waterskiing and wakeboarding, as well as a Canadian cedar-style structure overlooking the lakes, are at the core of the site. This building has a 45-seat restaurant that serves freshly cooked English food made with local ingredients whenever feasible, a lake-side bar and covered terrace, four conference and meeting rooms, as well as main reception and water-sports changing facilities.

The growth of mixed forest, grassland, and marginal habitats in Box End Park has considerably improved the site’s species and biodiversity. The site’s management strikes a compromise between the requirement to preserve some parts mowed and properly manicured while allowing others to re-establish and flourish as natural wildlife habitat. We advise guests to keep dogs on leashes at all times and clean up after them to help reduce the impact of human activities on animals. We also have lots trash bins for visitors to use in order to maintain the site clean.

They also care about sustainability.

They place a high value on sustainability and have worked hard to reduce the impact of their operations on the local and wider environment, including the following initiatives:

  • Recycling of all plastic, paper, metal and glass bottles
  • Using local suppliers and sourcing of local fresh produce
  • Conversion of our boats to run on LPG rather than Petrol
  • Improving energy efficiency, including the installation of ground source heat pump for heating
  • Use of our own spring water for drinking in the restaurant

Box End Park is a one of a kind water park here in the UK, it’s definitely worth a try if your fancy trying something new!
