British children’s TV shows that will make you nostalgic

Here is a list of 4 activities you can do around the Midlands that will make you nostalgic, based on British children’s TV shows from the 90s to early 2000s.

Do you remember your favourite TV shows growing up? We have put together a list of activities to do based on British children’s TV shows that will make you nostalgic (90’s-2000’s kids).

1. Anglo Welsh (Rosie and Jim)

Rosie and Jim resided with the boat’s owner aboard a narrowboat named the Ragdoll, which was based in Birmingham. The pair of ragdolls would frequently get themselves into problems when they went out on excursions with the boat’s owner, having mysteriously sprung to life while no one was watching.

160 elegant boats, 11 various sites, 55 years of experience, and a variety of cost-cutting deals.

Anglo Welsh, one of the UK’s leading narrowboat vacation businesses, offers canal boat trips throughout England and Wales. Their 160 high-quality boats are completely outfitted and intended for cruising pleasure, with smart interiors, efficient storage, and an astounding list of amenities. They’re the ideal starting point for exploring thousands of miles of beautiful waterways. There’s a narrowboat for everyone, with options ranging from two to twelve berths. Their 11 departure points, spanning from Bath in the southwest to Bunbury in the north – with a side trip to Trevor in Wales – provide you access to the greatest linear and ring routes, traversing some of the country’s most beautiful canals and rivers.

2. Wingly UK  (Come Outside)

Come Outside was the best of the bunch since it was informative, funny, and included a cute puppy named  Pippin. Auntie Mabel’s clever canine was her pet, and she would educate the young audience about the world by teaching them how things were manufactured, such as how stripes are applied to toothpaste.

Wingly is a platform that links private pilots with passengers. Pilots announce which routes and when they fly on the internet, along with the amount of available seats, so passengers may easily book their ticket. Wingly has gotten over 1,000 reservations and 100 per cent pleased fliers just a few months after its introduction in France and Germany. Tendency is increasing. Wingly is comparable to carpooling in principle, except it focuses on leisure rather than transportation. As a result, the vast majority of flights are tourism flights that let passengers take in the breathtaking scenery from above. Wingly seeks to rekindle people’s interest in light flying.

3. Drayton Manor Theme Park (Thomas The Tank Engine)

This children’s TV show’s been running since 1984. Thomas the Tank Engine is a familiar character. You’ll recognize the theme music as soon as it starts playing, whether you saw him in his initial series or in later episodes. Percy and Toby were two locomotive pals of the lovable blue steam engine with the number one emblazoned on his side.

Thomas Land at Drayton manor

Make great family memories at Drayton Manor Park, home of Thomas Land, any time throughout the main park season, which runs from March to October, and experience all of the park’s thrills and spills. After a vast growth in 2015, Thomas Land is now larger and better with Flynn’s Fire Rescue, Toby’s Tram Express, and Captain’s Seas Adventure, with over 25 rides and attractions. You may also take a ride with Thomas, Percy, or Rosie, as well as familiar names like Cranky Crane and Harold Helicopter Tours, and much more.

4. NPF Bassetts Pole Adventure Park (Jungle run)

In the jungle, a group of kids complete five tasks (four for the celebrity guests). Originally, bananas were supposed to help them earn time in the final task. Later episodes replace them with silver monkey statues that grant them 10 seconds within the Temple of the Jungle King; each episode also includes a golden banana worth additional bananas or a ruby monkey for twenty seconds.

Wear your helmet, knee pads, gloves, and safety glasses as you accompany the ranger down into the jungle paths on your mission to escape. Only completing the assigned tasks within the one-hour time limit will ensure your freedom. This is the ideal adventure activity for families or any other type of group celebration.
