Check out Netflix Series filmed in Liverpool

Ever wondered if some of Netflix’s original series were filmed in familiar places of Liverpool?

Liverpool is a city known for its strong history and loyal football fans but never forget it was awarded as the city of Culture and arts a few years ago. If you have not yet visited Liverpool or it has been a while since the lockdown and, you miss it quite a lot we have some surprising information to share with you. what if we told you that you might have caught a few glimpses of the Liverpool on screen? We have put together a special list of the very famous locations where the most popular Netflix TV shows and films were filmed at.

PEAKY BLINDERS

Peaky Blinders is known as one of BBC’s iconic dramas set in the year 1920 in Birmingham, the series is follows story of the Shelby Family and their mysterious life of crime post World War One. However, most people are not aware of the fact that much of the drama scenes were filmed in Liverpool. Powis Street as Watery Lane, is home of the Peaky blinders, also the Stanely Dock and Port Sunlight scenes were shot IN St George’s Hall and Formby beach, well known sites in Liverpool. If you wish to watch the series, make sure to keep an eye on Liverpool famous sites, maybe you could recognise them right away.

THE CROWN

The series unfolds the political rivalries and romance of Queen Elizabeth II’s reign and the events that shaped the second half of the 20th century. Season three sees the 1960s and ’70s unfold, the royal family contends with conflict and betrayal while striving to uphold tradition in the face of an evolving world. Perhaps you could spot Liverpool sites and locations in this series; Queen Elizabeth took over North John Street and The Strand while the iconic Three Graces doubled up at Washington DC.

THE STRANGER

Launched early 2020, The Stranger is a Netflix Orignal that got everyone glued to the screen and hooked from the start. You might be familiar with Webster Road; based between Toxteth and Wavertree, the endangered location is where one of the lead characters lived in. Can you spot where else Liverpool made a cameo in the series? Although it was shot mistakenly, on one of the episodes, the Merseyrail train makes a special appearance. Let us know if you will catch a glimpse of it too.
