Northwood Trail

The Northwood Trail is an ideal spot to discover the magic of fairies. This unusual fairy woodland is just 20 minutes from York and has been standing for centuries! Approaching the beginning of the trail you will discover many fairy doors within the trees. These are the homes of the tree fairies, you will also discover tiny houses that have been built by the fairies using the resources they could find within this enchanted forest. You will also come across the ‘Mushroom Fairy Ring’, this is where thousands of fairies have come together for wonderful moonlight dances over hundreds of years.

Miniature Audley End Railway

Audley End Miniature Railway, Audley End Road, Audley End, Saffron Walden, Essex CB11 4JB

This Elf and Fairy walk at Miniature Audley End Railway is truly spectacular. Venture around these enchanted grounds and spot delicately crafted wooden tree houses. You may even catch some elves and fairies in their sweet little homes throughout the walk. The Enchanted Tree is a must visit, where you are given the chance to make a wish with the Wishing Fairy, Christabelle. Watch out for the Troll who lives under the bridge, you may have to face him during your adventure!

Arley Arboretum & Gardens

Arley Arboretum, Lion Lane, Upper Arley, Worcestershire DY12 1SQ

The little folk of Arley tend to visit every summer with their little doors appearing all around the Arboretum! Try your best to keep count of all the fairy doors you discover dotted around these grounds. The Arley folk are known to have been spotted a few times during these trails but you must be very quiet as they become frightened if they notice you! The whole time you are walking along this trail you will feel as if you have become a character in a fairytale book as you discover this enchanted woodland that holds plenty of stories from the Arley folk!

Furzey Gardens

The tiny fairy door hunt begins as you enter Furzey Gardens enchanted grounds! Tip toe around the tiny homes where these magical characters live. Some may be easier than others to find and a few fairy homes may be completely nestled under bushes and stand behind wild greenery. There are some wonderful places to discover within the fairies village such as a sweet shop or even a magnificent rocket ship! There is even a Fairy Post Box for children to leave gifts and letters in that the fairies will be excited to collect at the end of the day!
