Food of Yorkshire: Mediterranean Eateries
It is very easy to rank the Mediterranean cuisine as one of the best cuisines in the world. Greek cuisine isn’t just varied but it is tasty and gorgeous, too. Countries around the Mediterranean coast not only have a same culture, but they also have components in their cuisines that are very similar. Despite their similar qualities, each meal has its own authenticity and uniqueness, with Mediterranean fusion mixed in to give them a unique touch. To prepare you for your teleportation to the Mediterranean, we have chosen a few of the finest eateries on the east coast of Yorkshire for our Food of Yorkshire list.
The Greek Restaurant
A magnificent restaurant where the most delectable foods that you could ever imagine are on the menu. As the name suggests, Greek food is often light and easy on the stomach, so anybody who wishes to avoid extra calories and hefty meals will find it appropriate. Garnish your Falafel with a hummus dip and accompany it with the excellent house-made pita bread. Freshly baked The Homemade Olive Bread topped with Stuffed Red Peppers and Dolmades is a great appetiser or light meal (vine leaves stuffed with rice). We recommend trying their Lamb Cutlets or Sausage Village if you aren’t monitoring your calorie intake.
Meze bar and Grill
An establishment where you’ll find genuine Greek food as well as other varieties. Everything is obtained locally, fresh from farms, and cooked by exceptional chefs. We enjoy the large servings and delicious appetisers at Turkish restaurants. Vegans, pescatarians, and everyone in between will be satisfied at Meze Bar & Grill. An abundance of seafood-based meals like the Somon Sis, grilled salmon fillet drizzled in extra virgin olive oil, accompanied with a vegetable and fruit salad, is something we believe you’ll like. Traditional Turkish humus and/or falafel are good starters for making cold humus or falafel.
Kurdistan Restaurant Hull
In general, few people in the world are aware of Kurdistan, much alone its delectable cuisine. A lack of information and understanding about the nation itself keeps Kurdistan food secluded apart from other Mediterranean cuisines. Offer them a selection of their lesser-known cuisine from their wide menu and make it extremely tasty. Although comparable to Indian, Kurdistan’s Biryani has a distinctive flavour that is different from what is found elsewhere. Some nice charcoal-grilled meals are included in their “selection of grilling selections,” including Kurdish Kofte Kebab, Lamb Shish Kebab, and Chicken Tikka Kebab. Kurdistan Restaurant in Hull offers excellent value for English cuisine cravings.
Marrakech Ave
In that case, it’s safe to assume that those who know Morocco will have already figured out the restaurant’s name is in fact a Moroccan city. When it comes to authentic Moroccan cuisine, Marrakech Ave is an exceptional place to visit since it will satisfy even the most high-demand tastes. It is well known that the chef of this restaurant has prepared dinners for the Moroccan king Hassan II, and that is why you can be certain that the cuisine you order from here will be sumptuous. They have an absolutely wonderful meal, which is the Tagine and our personal favourite is the Lamb Tagine. You may go for Moroccan mint tea, which is both minty and sweet, or you can choose mint chocolate tea, which is minty and smells like toothpaste.
