Great Family Events This Spring at RHS Garden Bridgewater

There’s lots of fun for all the family this March and April at RHS Bridgewater.

Celebrate Mother’s Day on Sun 27 March with a visit to the garden, and, while you’re here, why not also enjoy Ramadan Kareem, a fun, interactive storytelling show inspired by Hiba Masood’s charming children’s book, Drummer Girl.

Devised and performed by Hina Qureshi, Ramadan Kareem will transport audiences to Karachi in Southern Pakistan to tell a joyful story all about following your dreams.

It’s ideal for little music-makers age three and over. Bring along your drums (or a pan and a spoon) and join in the fun!

There will be two 60 minute performances at 1:00pm and 3:00pm in the Welcome Building. Entry to the event is free, book online to reserve your place.

Then this Easter enjoy a supersized family adventure in the garden as some larger-than-life handpainted eggs await discovery on the Giant Egg Hunt from Sat to Sun 18 April. Explorers of all ages can follow the trail, and every child who successfully finds all of the hidden eggs will be rewarded with a free chocolate treat from PLAYin CHOC to take home. This delicious chocolate is free from the top allergens, organic, vegan-friendly and ethically made here in the UK.

Additional activities on offer throughout the Easter holidays include fun planting and craft activities for the whole family. Normal garden admission prices apply.

The garden also has an ideal weekend lined up for keen gardeners and plant collectors. On Sat 2 and Sun 3 April, visit the Plant Heritage Spring Fair. With stalls from 10 specialist
plant nurseries in the North, plus expert demonstrations and talks, it’s also great for families too, with a spring garden mini-trail to follow for the chance to win fun plant prizes.
