Hampton Court Palace Ice Rink to Return This November

Festive fun to take centre stage at the venue’s biggest rink to date.

A frozen winter wonderland is coming to the grounds of Henry VIII’s former residence this November, with the return of the Hampton Court Palace Ice Rink.

From 17 November 2022 to 8 January 2023, Hampton Court Palace Ice Rink will welcome visitors to enjoy eight weeks of festive fun under the spectacular backdrop of the historic Tudor Palace, which will itself play host to a separately ticketed evening light trail, Palace of Light, from 7 December. The beautiful open-air rink will be one of the most breath-taking settings to create memorable moments with loved ones this Christmas season.

The ice rink will offer an impressive festive setting with an incredible 26-foot Christmas tree taking centre stage in the middle of the rink, providing the ultimate Instagram worthy backdrop. There will also be themed props for families and friends to capture even more magical memories.

Skaters will be able to fuel up or relax pre or post skate at the Ice Rink Café & Bar which will be hosted by local favourite Miss Polly and serve several festive favourites including mulled wine, mince pies and hot chocolate with all the trimmings.

For families, there will be special parent and toddler sessions as well as dedicated slots for groups with additional needs. Key workers and students will also benefit from discounted tickets Monday – Thursday up to 15 December.

Rob Derry, Managing Director, Ice & Special Events at Arena, which coordinates the event, says: “As the festive season approaches, we’re delighted to announce the return of the Hampton Court Palace Ice Rink. We can’t wait to see friends and families enjoying the rink and its spectacular setting with this years addition of an epic 26-foot Christmas tree, creating memories for many years to come.”

Tickets for The Hampton Court Palace Ice Rink available now, with prices starting at £17.50 for adults and £13 for children, with discounted family and season tickets also available. For more information and to book tickets, visit https://hamptoncourtpalaceicerink.co.uk/.
