Nostalgic Places to Bring Your Kids for Some Family Fun
Bring your little ones to the places you visited, or would’ve loved to visit when you were their age. The parents will love to reminisce whilst the children can enjoy a fun day out exploring, enjoying rides and participating in plenty of activities!
1. Nickelodeon Adventure

Nickelodeon has been around for years and started showing on UK screens on 1st September in 1993. Both generations within today’s families may have grown up watching the shows that are aired on Nickelodeon. This attraction is a brilliant way for parents to bond with their children over their childhood favourite shows, whether it was The Rugrats for the parents or Paw Patrol for the kids!
The whole family will get the chance to meet some of their favourite characters that they would’ve watched growing up including Spongebob, Patrick, The Teenage Mutant Turtles and the Paw Patrol!
There are plenty of zones to explore within the Nickelodeon Adventure such as; Spongebob’s Bikini Bottom, Paw Patrol’s Adventure Bay, Teenage Mutant Turtles 4D Cinema, Nick Central and of course The Rugrats! Each zone has brilliant activities related to the character or characters that belong there. Be like the Teenage Mutant Turtles by tackling their action zone.

Now LEGO is definitely a favourite for many generations. Children have been playing with lego for decades and it does not seem tobe going anywhere anytime soon. LEGO has been played with since 1932, and is the ultimate nostalgic toy for grown ups.
LEGOLAND Discovery Centre in Manchester is filled with plenty of attractions such as the NINJAGO City Adventure where you can be active, racing through the ninja training camp. You can also visit MINILAND which is built from OVER 1.5 MILLION bricks, recreating Manchester, Blackpool and Liverpool. They also have a 4D Cinema, The Kingdon Quest, A Race VR Experience and plty more rides and activities that are so worth visiting!
3. Warwick Castle

Warwick Castle is a family favourite as it is filled with history, attractions, live entertainment and plenty of events. The castle was opened to the public as an attraction in 1978, so parents may have already visited when they were younger especially if they were living in the West Midlands.
Within the castle you are able to take tours and learn about the history of the castle. As well as exploring the garden Horible History Maze where you can immerse yourself into an adventure that lets you rediscover the history surrounding the castle whilst getting involved with interactive games along the way. Discover the Princes Tower, watch live entertainment just like the Winter Birds of Prey where you will be educated on fascinating birds of prey as they show off their impressive skills.
4. Thorpe Park

Thorpe Park is a theme park that we must have all heard of by now. It has been around since 1979 and families have been visiting year after year for days of fun and excitement. Many parents may have grown up visiting this spectacular theme park and the rides will still leave them with an adrenaline rush!
Brave all the exciting rides which are known as some of the most popular rides within the UK. Including the fastest roller coaster, Stealth which launches you 205ft at the speed of 80mph. Their rides also feature the worlds first horror roller coaster as well as the UK’s only ride with wings. Thorpe Park is a family treat that will blow everyone away.
5. The Making of Harry Potter

Harry Potter is a classic, at least one person in the family HAS to have watched Harry Potter and everybody has heard of this famous wizard. Discover the magic by exploring behind the scenes. This will be an extremely nostalgic experience for the parents as they will reminisce watching the movies for nights in with family, or when they show every year around winter on TV.
The sets are available for you to explore, you will feel as if you are in the movie yourself. It is like entering a completely new world. You can venture around the Great Hall, Diagon Alley and Forbidden Forest. You will also see authentic props from the movies that you are very likely to recognise easily, the collection is beautifully kept for you to see. You can even discover the original costumes in more detail than you would ever imagine.

The Blackpool Pleasure Beach was founded in 1896. This attraction has seen plenty of people over the years and they love welcoming new comers too. Blackpool Pleasure Beach is filled with plenty of things to do such as their incredible rides. They are also known for their spectacular shows that are frequently taking place throughout the years. 7. Drayton Manor – Thomas Land

Thomas The Tank Engine has been apart of childrens TV since 1984. This theme park is perfect for the little ones and great for the parents to remind them of their brilliant childhood memories! The parents can relive their childhood dreams along with their children by meeting the characters of the famous programme.
There are plenty of rides in Thomas Land including, Bertie Bus, Captain’s Sea Adventure, Blue Mountain Engines, Cranky’s Drop Tower and plenty more. You can also head on over to the Discover Thomas Exhibition or go and discover the Engine Tours. They even have a Flying Academy! Thomas Land is the ultimate adventure for children to enjoy.
8. Blackgang Chine

Blackgang Chine is known as the oldest amusement park in the UK. It opened in the 1840s and has stuck around ever since. Parents may have visited before or maybe even the grandparents and probably even the great grandparents! It is extremely famous and is a must visit attraction within the UK.
Lands of Imagination is what Blackgang Chines worlds are described as. These worlds are themed with magical stories behind them, such as; Underwater Kingdom, Restricted Area 5, Nurseryland an plenty more beautiful worlds to visit within this incredible theme park. You can see stunning views overlooking the sea whilst riding the Cliff Hanger ride!
