See The Best of UK Design Makers and Artists at Autumn Craft Fair

Head to Hever Castle in September for a contemporary autumn craft fair organised by Craft In Focus.

The annual craft fair is returning to Hever Castle this September.

Maidstone based Craft in Focus who usually run similar events at RHS Garden Wisley in Surrey and RHS Garden Hyde Hall in Essex has always been keen to promote the best of UK design makers.

All 180 exhibitors at the craft fair have designed and made the work that they display and have been selected for their individuality and innovation in contemporary design, as well as outstanding technical ability.

Artists and craft makers at this event come from throughout the UK, with a number of them from Kent.

The event will be held in open-sided marquees within the award-winning Hever Castle Gardens set in 150 acres of glorious grounds with the backdrop of the historic castle – the childhood home of Anne Boleyn.

The event includes demonstrating artists and artisan food exhibitors alongside the exhibiting craft makers.

Organiser, Rob Chapman says: “We are delighted to be returning to the beautiful setting of Hever Castle which makes an ideal backdrop for an event of this calibre.   Our event is a high quality contemporary craft fair and exhibitors and visitors appreciate the fact that we keep our standards high and have stuck with our principles of only allowing work made by the exhibitor to be presented with no bought in, mass-produced or imported work.  This has really set us apart from many other craft fairs.”

Children can also enjoy exploring three play areas including Tudor Towers adventure playground.
