Shepreth Wildlife Park Charity

Read about how Shepreth Wildlife Park have raised money and their goals when fundraising!

Shepreth Wildlife Park has their own charity, which is called the Shepreth Wildlife Conservation Charity. The charity was established during March of 2011. The establishment was to support the fundraising of money for the important wildlife conservation that is taking place both abroad and in England.

The organisation generates finances and teaches tourists about animals that are endangered from extinction, even while playing a significant role in supplying funds for the Hedgehog Hospital, which is located on the grounds. SWCC maintains close relations to Shepreth Wildlife Park & makes use of the Park’s facilities in the course of its fundraising efforts.

Conservation

Apart from breeding for ex-situ conservation, they were also involved in a number of in situ conservation programmes throughout the years. Researchers are studying the River Shep concerning signal crayfish populations, monitoring rehabilitated hedgehogs after they are released, and the Nevada Puma Project, to name a few examples.

Throughout the year, they also organise numerous yearly awareness days, such as Tiger Day, Red Panda Day, Hedgehog Day, and the Spring Bio-Blitz, to raise awareness about their conservation efforts.

These activities are intended to raise cash for connected conservation initiatives as well as to raise awareness of the situation of endangered species among the park’s guests and patrons.

As part of its commitment to worldwide conservation, Shepreth Wildlife Park has raised money and raised awareness for a range of in-situ conservation projects since 2002.

Shepreth Wildlife Conservation Charity (SWCC) was established in 2011 by the park’s administration with the goal of raising even more money for conservation initiatives across the world. And they are extremely proud to announce that they have raised over £350,000!
