We have listed some places in Essex that are offering some specials for the Halloween season. With ghoulishly decorated treats that surprisingly taste delightful, you will be impressed!

Wilma’s Bakery

Wilma’s, 7 Clements Arcade, 9-11 The Broadway SS9 1 Leigh-on-Sea

Wilma’s is a local bakery located in the seaside town of Leigh-On-Sea. They have plenty of Halloween treats for you to try! You can sit in the sweet little shop that is beautifully decorated with flowery ceilings or you can sit on their outdoor tables, these are still in the shelter so you won’t have to worry about the weather. You can also take these away in one of their boxes and they have paper bags available if necessary. Their cupcakes are not only decorated beautifully but they also taste wonderful.

They also have milkshakes and hot chocolates for you to take away or sit in with. These have been designed to fit in with the Halloween theme and they definitely look scary enough you may even think they were a trick instead of a treat! They have one Halloween themed milkshake called the ‘Witches Brew’, which is a purple oreo milkshake topped with toasted marshmallow fluff. The other two are both hot chocolates, one is called the ‘Halloween Fluff Volcano’ which is a classic milk Belgian hot chocolate with some gruesome toasted fluff on top! The second is called the ‘Frankenstein’s Creation’ which is their posh choc with black cream on top along with some spooky treats for decoration.

Krispy Kreme

Krispy Kreme has released its Halloween doughnuts for 2021! Including plenty of flavours and some amazing designs, they are definitely worth a try especially as they are limited edition! Their Halloween doughnuts include:

Abra Cat Dabra – Original glazed, chocolate icing, black sugar, cat face is piped with icing and has sugar fondant eyes.

Bewitched Broomstick – Kreme filled, purple icing, orange icing swirl, gold stars, green buttercream for the bristles of the broom and pretzel for the stick.

Enchanted Cauldron – Glazed Chocolate Cake doughnut, Kreme, sprinkles and pretzel.

They have also released a limited-edition drink for the spooky season! Introducing the Caramel Apple Chiller! This is a tarty green apple chiller, with Ghirardelli caramel sauce drizzled throughout the drink.

Millie’s Cookies

Unit 30 The Meadows Shopping Centre, High Street, CM2 6FD

Millie’s Cookies have gone all out this year when it comes to the Halloween treats! They are perfect for any Halloween parties you may have coming up or may be organising. They have used original recipes and upgraded them for the spooky season!

Trick or Treat Cookie Pie – A giant 28cm double-layered cookie, filled with marshmallow and chocolate chunks, decorated with gooey eyeballs, jelly-filled brains, juicy skulls and gummy worms.

Dracula cookies – marshmallows (teeth), red icing in between 2 classic Millie’s milk chocolate chip cookies.

Halloween Spiders – Giant cookie in a flavour of your choice with an iced cobweb and spiders.

Lola’s Cupcakes

Lola’s Cupcakes are here to impress with their array of Halloween treats this year! Including delicious cupcakes, rich brownies, vegan cake, cupcake decorating kit, layer cake, giant cake as well as a giant brownie. With plenty to choose from you are bound to find something you would love and find extremely tasty!

Although Lola’s Cupcakes does not have a store in Essex there is a Lola’ Cupcakes locker in Lakeside. This is a great way to collect your Lola’s Cupcakes. It is a pick-up and go service where you order your treats online, you will then receive a collection code in your order confirmation email. When delivered you will receive a message to let you know that your order is ready to collect from the refrigerated locker. When you arrive at the locker you input the code you received with the confirmation and you will be able to open the locker with your treats inside! You can also get them delivered straight to you! The last date for orders will be the 31st of October!
