The Festival


13, 14 & 15 September 2024

Prepare for a culinary extravaganza at Ludlow Marches Food and Drink – The Festival, celebrating its 30th anniversary from September 13-15. Immerse yourself in a vibrant program featuring:

Ludlow is renowned for its gastronomic excellence, and the festival showcases the finest produce from the Marches region.

Culinary Inspiration at Every Turn

Engage with over 50 hours of talks, demonstrations, and workshops spread across three stages and the castle grounds. Learn the art of fire cooking, master kitchen techniques, and delve into the world of Slow Food. World-class chefs and culinary writers will share their secrets, while local producers demonstrate their skills. Witness the exhilarating live fire cooking competition that will ignite your culinary imagination.

SIBA Wales & West Regional Awards:

* The festival houses the SIBA Wales & West Regional Awards, where the best beers from independent brewers are showcased.
* Expert brewers and industry professionals judge the submissions, making these awards the ‘Brewers’ Choice.’

Artisan Beers:

* Discover the region’s renowned artisan beers, ranging from cask ales to craft keg beers.

Indulge in a culinary tour de force with the Magnalonga menu, showcasing the delectable produce of Shropshire and the Welsh Marches. Each stop offers a tantalising course: a light bite and refreshing beverage at stop 1, a hearty hot dish and local brew at stop 2, a delectable dessert and cocktail at stop 3, and a celebratory cheese course and local brew at stop 4, ensuring a memorable culinary experience.

Discover Ludlow and South Shropshire’s Rolling Hills

You’ll travel a thoughtfully chosen route through breathtaking, undulating terrain on the Magnalonga.
