The Aln Valley Railway (AVR) is a proposal to restore an 1850 branch railway. The eastern seashore provides easy access to a number of important attractions, such as Alnwick Castle, Alnwick Garden, Barter Books, as well as the Bailiffgate Museum.
Phase 4 is the last link to Alnmouth station. The project is divided into four sections. The Lionheart Station will be built on the southern entrance to Alnwick, right off the A1, during the first year. A display area, cafés, boutiques, and a maintenance facility will all be available at the Lionheart location. The more money they earn, the sooner the full route will be open, so please stop by the café, sponsor a sleeper, and joining the AVR if you want to.
On the other hand, guests may travel in style from a new station to the beach along with the A1 with free parking. The National Bike Network is connected with a bicycle path that runs beside the railway. The railways also have ambitious educational and wildlife conservation aims.
