What began as a passion for Annie when she purchased her very first alpaca, Pavlova, in 2009, has now grown into one of the most popular animal experiences in the United Kingdom. Alpaca Annie allows you to get a feel for what it’s like to stroll with alpacas in their natural environment.
Trek with your very own alpaca across the breathtakingly gorgeous Romney Marsh area, learning everything you can about them along the way. The alpacas are sociable, kind, and curious animals who like being petted and fussed over by humans, especially when carrots are involved, of course! Because the trekking alpacas are also happily halter trained, you can have a wonderful time walking your very own alpaca around the Kent countryside – who will get just as much delight out of the trip as you will – while also learning about the animal.
Because alpaca wool is sheared just once a year, in preparation for the warmer months, it naturally lends itself to the production of luxurious alpaca apparel and one-of-a-kind homeware. This gorgeous fleece is used to create some of the lovely goods available in the shop, such as alpaca knit women’s sweaters and alpaca socks that are quite popular.
