Visit Aston Hall
In Birmingham’s north side, Aston Hall is a beautiful red-brick house located in a lovely park. It was one of the last major Jacobean homes to be constructed.
Located in Aston, and built between 1618 and 1635 as Sir Thomas Holt’s estate, it was home to Sir James Watt from 1817 to 1848. The hall hosted kings, was besieged during the English Civil War, and influenced a writer.
The hall, now a grade I listed structure, has been restored to its original Jacobean grandeur and is very popular with tourists of all ages.
