The best collection of natural wildlife in Britain, with over 40 distinct native species ranging from small harvest mice to magnificent red deer, is found in the heart of the East Surrey countryside. All of the animals are housed in environments that are similar to their natural surroundings. Although there are some covered places, such as the Barn, the Hedgerow, the Nocturnal House, and our observation Badger Sett, much of the area is outdoors. There is much to see at any time of year, and most creatures are active regardless of the weather. Don’t miss the keeper talks to get the most out of your visit. At the keeper talks, you may meet the animals. Every half-hour, there are talks to offer visitors a chance to learn more about the animals and see them up close. So there’s always something to see anytime you come. The British Wildlife Centre offers a variety of hot and cold snacks and lunches, as well as beverages and ice cream. Customers of the Coffee Shop can relax and enjoy themselves in this seating area. Other visitors are invited to utilise the outdoor picnic spots during the popular lunch hour.
