Cadwell Park, often known as the mini-Nürburgring,’ has a long history and recently celebrated its 85th anniversary. The Lincolnshire track, which is 10 miles north of Horncastle and five miles south of Louth, is particularly popular with motorcyclists throughout the country and remains as popular as ever in the hearts of motorsport enthusiasts.
Cadwell Park has established itself as one of the greatest courses in the country due to its curvy and undulating character, meandering through open parks and forest. Once found, it quickly becomes a favourite of many visitors, whether they are spectators or participants.
The track is also one of the most popular on the Bennetts British Superbike Championship schedule, with the famed ‘Mountain’ portion, where racers are frequently totally airborne, posing a unique challenge. Thousands of fans flock to the arena in anticipation of the show.
The annual visit of the world’s premier domestic superbike category, which is one of Lincolnshire’s most important sports events of the year, takes place in August. As the circuit’s renown grows, a growing number of club car events, such as the Historic Sports Car Club’s Wolds Trophy and the famous Vintage Sports-Car Club Festival, as well as vintage and classic motorcycle events and magnificent rallies, are held there.
