Situated in the heart of Witney, Oxfordshire lies Cogges Manor Farm, an award-winning visitor attraction and farm hosting hundreds of events, festivals and workshops. With over 1000 years of Cogges history to unfold, there is so much to see, learn and do in this 13th century Manor House, as well as in its farm and gardens.
Farm Animals
Meet the farm animals – the real stars of Cogges. Get some veggies from reception to feed them! ‘Meet the Animals’ sessions will be offered on weekends and public holidays from the end of June. Talk to the farm’s volunteers about how to care for the animals as you pet them. Whilst on the farm, you can expect to see lots of fury friends including goats, sheep, ducks, chickens, and Oxford Sandy & Black pigs to name a few.
Manor House and tours
For the first time in many years, the first floor of the Manor House has been available to the public as a tourist attraction. Explore the Yew Tree Farm of Downton Abbey as you listen to stories from the past. On the weekends, help yourself to some traditional delights on the Victorian range in the manor kitchen. Dogs are permitted on a leash throughout the property, but they are not permitted in the Manor House.
Garden, Grounds & Trails
Explore 17 acres of grounds and heritage trails and learn more about the history of the site. Many of the vegetables, herbs, and fruits grown in the Walled Garden are donated by community members. As a former food source for residents of Manor House, it is now available to the public in the Cogges Kitchen café or for a donation to take home.
Adventure Play
Kids can have their fair share of fun climbing the adventure play fort, using the zipwire, as well as trying a variety of purpose-built outdoor play equipment, which was created where the original home originally stood.
