When the park was founded in 1970 at Bradwell Grove, the intention was to breathe new life into the house and park and to share a lifelong love of nature with as many people as possible.
We are happy to welcome you to what is now one of the UK’s greatest zoological collections and most interesting gardens, after more than four decades. During that period, millions of people discovered the natural world’s beauty and diversity.
Because the Park is entirely reliant on visitors and gets no outside assistance, your presence is extremely important to both the personnel and the animals. It also allows us to fund a robust teaching programme, several endangered species breeding programmes, and a number of critical wild conservation initiatives.
