It’s little wonder that so many people have been drawn to this awe-inspiring place throughout the years.

Devout monks who sought a quieter life founded the majestic abbey from humble beginnings. What’s left of this ancient way of life may be seen in the evocative ruins that dot the landscape.

A beautiful water park with mirrors-like ponds, sculptures, and follies was created by the socially ambitious John Aislabie upon inheriting Studley Royal.

A picnic may be enjoyed on the riverbank’s lush green grass. The deer park, which is home to Red, Fallow, and Sika deer, as well as old trees such as limes, oaks, and sweet chestnuts, may be reached along riverside walks.

Enjoy a Tasty Treat

After an energetic stroll, why not head down to the visitor centre restaurant which you can tuck into a scrumptious scone and tea, enjoy a hearty meal, or indulge yourself in some delicious cake; whatever you fancy!

Treat yourself to the Gift Shop

Chutneys, teas and fresh flowers await you at the abbey’s delightful visitor centre shop, where you can also buy seasonal gifts and souvenirs.

And as the holidays are coming up, why not treat your loved ones to a choice of fruit wine, cookbooks, and all kinds of preserves for the foodies, Gardener’s essentials for every garden enthusiast and the perfect adventure kit for your little explores to enjoy!
