Great Yarmouth Racecourse is a historic racing venue on the Norfolk coast. With horse racing taking place over the Summer season and events all year round, this seaside venue has a lot to offer. Great Yarmouth Racecourse is home to a summer season of 23 flat race meetings attracting top name jockeys, and up-and-coming two-year-old horses, some of which go on to compete and win valuable races as far afield as the USA and Brazil. Great Yarmouth is proud of its racing heritage, with the first events recorded more than 300 years ago in 1715.
Continual improvements have included the new Lord Nelson Grandstand with bars, a restaurant and hospitality boxes. The most valuable race is the John Musker Fillies’ Stakes which is run over a mile and a quarter during the flagship Eastern Festival meeting in September.
