The woodland adventure playground will delight small children, and the park offers miles of traffic-free trails. It’s a nice place to walk and a great place for beginners to learn how to ride a bike. On a sunny day, there are numerous picnic spots. Find a quiet spot or join the crowds on North Avenue’s manicured lawns. Deer, foxes, red kites, buzzards, and pheasants may be seen in the playground, which is set in a wooded area. This is a unique place to visit due to the sights, sounds, and smells of the woods. Swings, a zip line, a climbing trail, slides, a see-saw, a Tiny Tots area, climbing towers, chain bridges, an Amazon Jungle Climber, an Adult ‘Trim’ Trail Course, and a shelter for moms and dads can all be found on the playground.
Dog Walking in Grimsthorpe
Grimsthorpe is dog-friendly. You can take your dog for a walk in a variety of locations (on a lead please). Although the formal gardens and children’s adventure playground are off-limits, there are still hundreds of acres to explore. You should never take your dog near cattle. Except for guide dogs, all dogs are not allowed in the Tearoom, Shop, or Castle. By picking up after your dog, you’ll help to ensure that other park visitors have a good time. If you can’t find the dog water bowl outside the Shop, simply ask and they’ll direct you.
