Gusbourne believes in both history and tradition when it comes to winemaking, even if it means making what seem to be small changes to the end product. The difference between excellent and exceptional performance is typically determined by attention to detail. The Gusbourne Estate has been in existence at Appledore, Kent, since 1410. Gusbourne Brut Reserve 2006 and Gusbourne Blanc de Blancs 2006 were well acclaimed when they were launched in 2010, followed by Gusbourne Brut Reserve 2006 and Gusbourne Blanc de Blancs 2006.
Gusbourne rapidly established a reputation for producing high-quality wines, receiving praise from some of the wine industry’s most discriminating reviewers. By blending the finest age-old traditions with cutting-edge technology and equipment, they have been able to sit snugly between old and modern world winemaking while also adding their own rigorous quality standards to the process. They want to utilise as little intervention as possible in the winemaking process because they value the vineyards, the fruit, and the natural components involved in winemaking.
On their Estate Tour, spend the day relaxing in the countryside while tasting their wines over a leisurely lunch. A welcoming drink will be served before to the start of your two-hour tour of the estate and vineyards. A three-course lunch will be served utilising seasonal farm dishes, followed by a wine tasting in their magnificent tasting room overlooking the vineyards, which will feature some unique rare release and limited-edition wines.
