Joseph Houston and William Whelton’s goal was to build the Hope Mill Theatre. They were inspired by the highly acclaimed Off West End Theatres and tiny producing venues that dominate the London theatrical industry after training and developing a profession in theatre and time spent living in London.

Hope Mill Theatre, which first opened its doors in November of 2015, has quickly established itself as one of England’s most successful and respected independent venues.
