The Jubilee Pool is the UK’s largest and most well-known seawater pool.
The pool is trapezoidal in design but has gentle curves that give it a streamlined look with stairs and Cubist-style locker facilities. High, white walls shield swimmers from strong offshore breezes and provide great viewing and sunbathing areas. Within the main pool, a tiny ‘baby pool’ provides a secure place for youngsters to enjoy the water. A licensed poolside café serves a variety of locally sourced foods, or you may bring your own picnic to eat on the terraces.
The Jubilee Pool is a fantastic place to spend an hour or a whole day! While swimming is the most popular activity, other pool activities include stand-up paddleboarding, yoga, circuits, and triathlons. Deckchairs may be rented.
The Jubilee Pool has to be one of the greatest locations to swim in the open air – not just in Cornwall, but in the entire nation – with magnificent views across to St Michael’s Mount to the left and the charming fishing hamlet of Newlyn to the right.
