This three-story bunker was in use as recently as 1992, according to historical records. When a nuclear war breaks out, this would be the government’s headquarters, and it would be able to accommodate 600 civilian and military people as well as more than 120 tonnes of equipment. All-weather, all-age-groups, educational attraction with a variety of activities. A complete day of activities, including a tree-top high-wire adventure course, zip wires, zorb balls, archery, quad bikes, an air gun and paintball range, water tag, and more, can be enjoyed at the park. Take a ‘virtual’ tour of the Bunker with owner Mike Parrish and learn about the intricate subterranean installation that is concealed under the earth. Come and see the bunker’s three different incarnations, beginning with its time as an RAF ROTOR Station, followed by a brief stint as a civil defence centre, and finally its most current incarnation as a Regional Government Headquarters. It is intended for up to 600 military and civilian people, including the Prime Minister, whose combined duty will be to organise the survival of the nation in the apocalyptic aftermath of a nuclear attack.
