It was Gareth and Melanie Lord who purchased the Kingsley Bird & Falconry Centre in December 2002, which had previously been known as the ”Churnet Valley Wildlife Park.” Several major modifications have taken place on the site since that time, some of which are still in progress today. The falconry centre opened its doors to the public for the first time in 2006 and currently boasts one of the most extensive collections of birds of prey in the country. For tourists who want to observe and learn about birds, this is an excellent location.
