Knebworth House has been in the Lytton family for 19 generations and is set on 250 acres of magnificent rolling Hertfordshire countryside with 28 acres of Formal Gardens, providing for an amazing tour through 500 years of history. The family’s contributions to literature, politics and the Foreign Service are reflected in stories and heirlooms. Knebworth’s rich history has been enhanced by visits from figures as different as Charles Dickens, Winston Churchill, and Queen Elizabeth I.
At Knebworth, there is something for everyone to enjoy, whether it’s a fun-filled day exploring the Dinosaur Trail, a stroll through the Gardens during the season, a trip to the Adventure Playground with Fort Knebworth, or one of our numerous events.
Knebworth House has been dubbed “The Stately Home of Rock” in recent years. Over two million people have attended Knebworth festivals since 1974, including The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Oasis, and Robbie Williams, as well as over 100 other notable acts.
Knebworth House has also appeared in major feature films, advertisements, music videos, and photoshoots, including notable cameos in Batman, Victoria & Abdul, and The Crown.
