Leonardslee Lakes & Gardens is considered to be the ‘Finest Woodland Gardens in England”. First planted in 1801, the Grade I listed gardens on our 240-acre estate features outstanding scenery and wildlife throughout the year. The gardens are particularly majestic as they bloom in spring or take on the colours of autumn.
With so much to see and do through every changing season from thousands of bluebells across the lawns, to paths overhung with 100-year-old rhododendrons in the spring, as well as our breathe-taking seven lakes and of course our resident wallabies. Explore ‘The Walk of Life’ sculpture exhibition by renowned South African artist Anton Smit, while ending up at our cafés that is ready with seasonal delights ready for you to enjoy.
Guests are also welcome to discover a magical world in miniature at the famous “Beyond the Dolls’ House”. View an Edwardian estate and neighbouring villages at 1:12 scale, with landscapes and characters acting out day-to-day activities.
