Lytes Cary Manor is a beautiful old Manor House with such a lovely Arts and Crafts garden where you might imagine yourself as a member of the family. Henry Lyte worked on the translations of the rare Niewe Herball book on herbal treatments from his family home, Lytes Cary. Sir Walter Jenner meticulously restored it in the 20th century. The garden rooms include a lovely variety of topiary and herbaceous beds, and there are also tranquil walks on the estate along with the River Cary. Take a walk through their community allotments to finish off your trip and see their innovative and colourful designs and vegetation.
