Oulton Park, built into the natural curves of the Cheshire countryside, is one of the most beautiful and well-loved courses for fans and competitors alike.
Over the course of more than 60 years, it has earned a reputation as the country’s most difficult test for both vehicle and driver.
Because of the excellent views of the track from the wide spectator banks, the venue remains as popular as ever with spectators. The annual round of the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship attracts crowds of up to 35,000 people. In addition, the Cheshire site hosts two rounds of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship and the ever-popular British F3/GT race.
The Gold Cup meeting is the circuit’s flagship event, and it is currently conducted as a historic event by the HSCC, with some of the best racing vehicles from the previous 70 years rolling back in time and taking to the track during the August Bank Holiday weekend. The circuit’s schedule has grown in recent years to include the Tunerfest North auto exhibition and the end-of-the-year fireworks and rally spectacular, while national level events for cars and motorcycles remain immensely characterful and diverse.
Oulton Park is located near Little Budworth and is easily accessible via the A54 and A59.
