Snetterton track is one of the best motor racing venues in the UK, not just for participants but also for fans. Because of its major renovation in 2011, the track combines a difficult and complicated layout with fast straights to produce a one-of-a-kind challenge, most of which can be seen from elevated spectator sections that provide some of the finest viewing places in the nation.
The Kwik Fit British Touring Car, Bennetts British Superbike, and British GT Championships, as well as many more club-level and historic categories on two and four wheels, are held at the Snetterton 300 track, as do festivals and car exhibitions.
The 300 circuit, designed by circuit boss Jonathan Palmer, takes inspiration from a number of the world’s leading motor racing venues, while the 200 circuit retains the spirit of the original airfield layout and can be run concurrently with the short 100 loop, which is popular with sprint competitors.
The corner names on the circuit are inspired by some of motorsport’s greats, ranging from two-wheeled icon Giacomo Agostini to current F1 superstar Lewis Hamilton, while Wilson is named for Palmer’s former protégé Justin Wilson, who was murdered in the United States in 2015.
Snetterton is also a famous test track and has served as a proving ground for a number of high-profile racing vehicles.
