Ripley Castle and Gardens is a historic site that is accessible to the public all year and provides for an interesting and enjoyable day out in a lovely setting. Swing from the trees, practise archery, or learn bushcraft from a survival expert! Alternatively, remain closer to the earth and master a new skill such as archery or bushcraft! The yhave orienteering and body zorbing available for the more active. If you want to be on the water, take a canoe or kayak out on the lake. You may even try to cross it on your own custom-built raft! The Deer Park and Castle Grounds: You’ll encounter lots of wildlife while walking through the deer park, including fallow deer, rabbits, squirrels, herons, Canada and greylag geese, duck, teal, and wigeon, pheasants, woodpeckers, and, if you’re fortunate, a kingfisher. The park path around the castle’s huge decorative lake, over the waterfall, and enters the deer park proper. The Ripley Castle Estate can accommodate a broad variety of festivities, from an intimate family meal in the Castle’s Dining Room to bigger business gatherings for up to 120 people in the East Wing’s Long Gallery. They are pleased that our high-quality catering is prepared entirely in-house by our own chefs.
