The Estate isn’t open to the public daily. But is often open for events, the next event being held is the Enchanted Lights event 4th -6th Nov and then a Christmas Open Day on Saturday 4th Dec.
Stourton Estates is a family run business situated north of Horncastle on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds. They have farmed the land on the estate since the 1920’s and whilst they are mainly an arable farm, livestock is increasingly playing an important role here with herds of Red Deer (introduced in 2012) now happily living in the parks. They take great care of the environment that they operate within, encouraging wildlife and they are very proud of the diverse range of species that live on the estate.
Over the last 20 years they have diversified their business into a number of other areas, whilst carefully restoring the old Stourton Estate, (previously home to the Livesey family) and responsibly managing the woodland, lakes, and creating rides and safe access for visitors.
Our Products
They use timber from the estate and other locally sourced Lincolnshire woodlands to produce high quality kiln dried logs, woodchip (suitable for play surfaces) and a range of landscape products including garden bark. They also produce super healthy, high quality frozen venison and fresh venison produced from their herds of red deer.
Events
They open their doors and hold a number of very popular events and visits each year in the beautiful historical parkland and woodland setting which is now home to herds of majestic Red Deer. They are dog friendly and they welcome well behaved and responsibly managed dogs on leads to all their events. They offer guided walks and visits to groups and schools and have supported the Wolds walking festival over 6 years. They run tractor & trailer tours (otherwise known as Deer Safaris!) to get up close and personal to the red deer. They also hold open days, camping weekends, their annual Autumn Festival in September, the magical Enchanted Woodland Lights

With their beautiful safari tent nestled within the woodland setting of the arboretum they are now able offer a unique venue to host woodland weddings, private functions, corporate events, private parties and lots more!
