The Big Cat Sanctuary

The Big Cat Sanctuary is a conservation organisation that houses more than 50 big and small cats representing 16 distinct species. We are proud to boast the UK’s most varied collection, which includes the world’s largest, tiniest, and most endangered species, all tucked away in the Kent countryside. The Big Cat Sanctuary is a world-class facility whose primary goal is to breed some of the world’s most endangered species while also providing a safe haven for retired and homeless cats.  This is a body that controls the captive breeding of endangered cats by issuing breeding recommendations in order to generate a robust, healthy, and diversified gene pool within the captive population, which can then be safely released into their natural environment to mingle with their wild counterparts. So far, breeding success has been achieved with the Amur leopard, the world’s most endangered big cat, with just 70-80 living in the wild worldwide, as well as Sumatran tigers, Amur tigers, and Pallas cats. Personal big cat experiences, such as big cat tours, solo and group photography days, overnight big cat safari nights, and adoptions, are offered by Big Cat Sanctuary. All of which must be pre-booked prior to a visit. The centre takes pleasure in providing completely immersive, intimate, and incredible experiences that will leave any big cat enthusiast with lifelong memories.
