Ash End Children’s Farm is a small family-owned children’s farm that has been in operation for more than 30 years. The Farm is home to a large number of friendly farm animals, most of which are kept undercover so that the weather does not pose a problem. There is The Big Play Barn on the premises, which is a recently constructed indoor soft play centre. The farm is an excellent choice for anybody who likes animals and wishes to spend time in close proximity to them. There are plenty of handwashing stations, plenty of free parking, and events scheduled throughout the day. Main everyday activities include petting a young chicken and rabbit, going on an egg search to discover a newly placed egg from the Hen House, and riding a pony or shire horse. They also operate the tractor and trailer ride on a daily basis, and each youngster receives a pail of feed for the animals to feed (except horses). There are additional activities that are organised throughout the year, as well as special events days. As well as this, the farm has a falconry centre, which puts on daily demonstrations, and they also breed their own Shire Horses in the Shire Horse Centre on the premises. All of the activities are included in the price of entry to the farm.
