A unique little garden centre with an astonishing range of plants, many locally grown. Inside they have a mesmerising selection of quality outdoor gifts, tools and wildlife products. Also, the largest selection of wind chimes that you’ll probably ever see!
Gift Shop
First started as a small shop in 1988, it is now 20 times its original size. They are proud of the nicknames they have been given, ‘Aladdin’s Cave’ & ‘Little Harrods’ We stock a wide range of items, from handmade crafts to gifts of all sizes and value.
Food Hall
They have combined our food and wine shops to create a wonderful, new Food Hall that stocks fine and wonderful things to eat and drink. They have a focus on their amazing local suppliers that send them FR eggs, meat, chocolate, fudge, crisps, ice cream to complement the local preserves, beer, cider, wines, gins & liqueurs that they are well known for. They have fresh meat and pies from Wailers Butchers, fresh bread and pastries from Peter Cook’s bread, as well as fruit and vegetables, cheeses, smoked fish and pates. Everything to make your mouth water!
Gift Food
A large range of artisan and unusual food gifts are here at The Hop Pocket. A wide variety of chocolate from fancy to fun, the always delicious Cottage Delight which has a wide selection of sweet and savoury goodies. They always have something that will make a wonderful gift for a loved one, or a special treat for yourself.
Restaurant & Cafe
Everything is prepared fresh, from scratch in their kitchen by their wonderful cooks Sue & Kate. Their dishes range from freshly cut sandwiches, quiches & soups to full lunches like cottage pie and lasagne. They serve toast, teacakes, scones and their scrumptious cakes are baked on-site. On most days they have over 15 different types of homemade cake on offer from Victoria Sandwich to Carrot Cake to Coffee & Walnut Sponge, and Gluten-Free Flapjack to Almond Slice via Rocky Road.
They do a proper Sunday Roast with fresh vegetables, traditional homemade gravy served separately and usually serve three types of meat and a vegetarian option. They have a large amount of socially spaced seating in their family restaurant and are happy to serve child and toddler portions for smaller appetites.
Play Area
A large well fenced play area with one climbing frame for over fives and a little one for toddlers.
