The Heights of Abraham, a 60-acre woodland, is an adventurous day outing, for anyone looking for something fresh and outdoorsy. Because of its location surrounding Masson Hill and overlooking the attractive town of Matlock Bath, it was referred to as a “savage garden” when it was opened in 1787. For the first time, the Cable Car was put into service in 1984 and began transporting passengers from all across the Derwent Valley to Hilltop Park, where it had first been utilised in 1903.
The Matthew of Bristol
Located in the heart of central Bristol, The Matthew is the ideal place to start your exploration of Bristol’s historic harbourside and is one of the first maritime attractions you will see as you walk from the city centre along the quayside.
