Large portions of the original Bass Collection have been incorporated into the National Brewery Centre Museum. Learn about the renowned Bass family and their contributions to the brewing industry. The museum also honours the social history of brewing, including the real-life experiences and tales of those who contributed to Burton’s world-famous brewing reputation.
Their knowledgeable interpreters lead visitors through each stage of the brewing process and explain the interesting roles that the steam engines and old vehicles on display played in the development of the industry, starting with a holographic-style presentation of the history of brewing.
The William Worthington microbrewery brings the tour up to date, with the opportunity to sample some of the excellent real ales brewed at the Centre’s Heritage Brewery, as well as to enjoy a bar meal or a full flagon banquet in the restaurant, complete with a beer and food guide to help you appreciate the flavours of beer!
