A museum presents the fascinating tale of Britain’s 2000 miles of waterways and helps to depict life in a functioning dock in the heart of Gloucester’s historic ports. The exhibits include a wide range of topics related to waterways, from innovative engineering to living onboard a narrowboat, and from the fauna of their canals to many types of waterways crafts. The Gloucester Waterways Museum is located in a beautiful Grade II-listed warehouse. You may observe and climb aboard a variety of vessels on the museum dockside, including the magnificent steam dredger. Hands-on exhibits and historical videos are available, as well as a boat excursion on the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal. Overall, a fantastic day out for the whole family!
