Since the First World War, the museum has housed 300 military machines that illustrate crucial engagements from every major conflict. From the mud of the Somme to the beaches of Normandy and the deserts of Iraq, our moving exhibitions explore the tale of this British creation, incorporating powerful anecdotes from the soldiers who fought in them. The world’s first tank, the fearsome German Tiger, and the current Challenger 2 are all part of this one-of-a-kind collection. Tankfest, Tiger Day, the Vintage Christmas Festival and Craft Fayre, as well as unique activity programming during the School Holidays, are all held at The Tank Museum throughout the year.
