Because of its original approach, the Exhibition is one of a kind. It displays Tutankhamun’s greatest riches, which have been precisely reconstructed in their original materials whenever feasible, and has been widely shown in television shows and important documentaries about Tutankhamun around the world. Furthermore, the ante-chamber and burial chamber of Tutankhamun’s tomb, as well as all of the tomb furniture and riches, have been faithfully reconstructed, allowing you to experience the thrill of discovery and enter the tomb as Howard Carter did in 1922. The Tutankhamun Exhibition in Dorchester was the first outside of Egypt to display an authentic anatomical replica of Tutankhamun’s mummy. Following x-rays and measurements of Tutankhamun’s mummy, the mummy took over two years of research and testing to reproduce.
