One of the farm’s primary aims is to aid in the preservation of rare breeds. They raise a variety of animals, from chickens and ducks to Welsh Mountain sheep and Golden Guernsey goats, to ensure their continued success. They think that having a relationship with animals is vital for everyone, whether they are 1 year old or 101 years old! Keep an eye out for the lovely newborn Pygmy Goats who will be born this summer… They discover that the general population is the finest at constructing climbing structures!! If you arrive with a bag of animal feed, you’ll quickly become everyone’s best friend… Just keep an eye out for the greedy goats!
Find out more about some of the Farm’s more diminutive residents in the newly renovated Pets’ Corner. You may come in quietly to view the new chicks and ducklings snuggled up under the heat lamps, and you can also meet some other fluffy creatures. If you’re feeling daring, you may ask to meet the friendly Corn Snake that resides on the grounds and feel her smooth skin if you’re feeling brave. Alternatively, you may come upon a sleeping Chinchilla and be mesmerised by the Harvest Mice as they burrow through the straw. Moreover, there is a fantastic café in the vicinity that is worth a visit on its own. Take time to relax and enjoy a delicious panini or a slice of handmade cake in the tranquil surroundings of the Steam Railway. The famed cream teas are not to be missed by those with a greater appetite, either! Throughout your stay, the knowledgeable staff and volunteers are there to assist you in making the most of your experience and to answer any questions you may have.
