The Eighth Duke and Duchess of Wellington founded Wellington Country Park in 1974, dubbed “Berkshire’s Biggest Outdoor Play.”
Wellington Country Park, located on 350 acres of magnificent parkland along the A33 between Basingstoke and Reading, offers a secure, open-air, fun-filled destination for the whole family and is now open!
To keep the kids entertained, the park offers various adventure play areas, a toddler’s area, sandpits, slides, miniature railway, animal farm and petting barn (seasonal), nature trail maze, enchanted forest, water play, 12 holes of mini-golf, and a plethora of play equipment to climb on and in.
There are four nature paths to follow inside the forests, each offering views of a diverse range of species in their natural environment. You may get up and personal with the resident herd of Red and Fallow deer on one trail. The gorgeous 35-acre lake provides the ideal setting for a family gathering, picnic, or BBQ. On the other side, if you want to unwind and enjoy your day, dine at the café and shop. A wide variety of hot and cold beverages, snacks, ice cream, presents, and toys are available.
Throughout the season, Wellington Country Park hosts over 50 unique in-house events and fun days with thrilling demonstrations and activities for the entire family to enjoy! Most events are free to attend as part of your admission ticket to the park. Dates and more information may be found on the Wellington Country Park website.
Even your dog is welcome, but the park asks that you keep them on a leash and under control at all times and that you clean up after them as their owner!
