Visit West Wycombe Park, Village and Hill
The Dashwood family has lived in Wycombe Park for over 300 years. It has been a lavish and Italianate house for over 300 years. In the 18th century, the 2nd Baronet designed and built a house on the site, which offers 45 acres of landscaped grounds.
It has frequently been portrayed in screen adaptations of literary classics such as Cranford and Little Dorrit, in the television series Downton Abbey and more recently in Dr Thorne.
The historic village of West Wycombe has an abundance of charm. A variety of architectural styles adorn its streets, which date from the 16th to the 18th centuries.
The village of West Wycombe and West Wycombe Hill provides gorgeous views of the Chiltern Hills and West Wycombe Park.
You can find a variety of shops in the village, including churches, a mausoleum, a cave (not managed by the National Trust), and gift shops.
