Outdoor Adventures
NATURE TRAILS AND WALKS
Around the farm, they have such a variety of wonderful walks and paths that may be enjoyed at any time of year. There are trails ranging in length from 500 metres to 3 kilometres, so there is something for everyone! Their tracks are simple to follow — just look for the coloured arrows!
PIGLET RACING
On the farm, their daily Piglet Race is a big hit! Adult involvement is always encouraged, and everyone gets the chance to guess which pig will receive a reward – with prizes for all victors!
PADDOCKS AND FARM ANIMALS
They are a thriving family farm with many different breeds of cows, sheep, pigs, and goats (too numerous to list here)! All of these creatures may be found on the farm and during hikes, with plenty of opportunities to get up close and personal!
SMALL ANIMAL HANDLING
During our Animal Handling Sessions throughout the year, they always have a variety of fluffy animals to handle. Rabbits, guinea pigs, chicks, and ducklings are among the animals. Petting sessions with the animals are offered throughout the day and are overseen by one of our employees. They also have a lot of hens, geese, turkeys, and ducks on exhibit! (These don’t want to be touched, but they love to be fed)!
PONY RIDES
Archie, Max, and Milkshake, their three lovely ponies, love nothing more than to be ridden by the small guests. Pony rides are offered every day and maybe reserved at the farm shop when you arrive. Children must be at least two years old and weigh less than six stone. *£2 surcharge
THE WEST LODGE BARREL RIDE
Children enjoy the double circle of the outdoor play area and being taken past Donald the Sleepy Dragon on the farm’s Barrel Ride. The barrel ride takes place every hour and is open to the public. You are free to return as often as you like!
ADVENTURE PLAYGROUND
Take a picnic while watching the kids play on the huge fort! Slides, swings, rope bridges, roundabouts, and a large sandpit can be found on their Outdoor Adventure playground. The ancient tractor, a classic Fordson Major, is also available for children to ride on – there is something for everyone!
RIDE ON TRACTOR PARK
For your family’s future farmers! There is a wonderful, huge, tarmacked tractor park with a vast range of ride-on tractors — appropriate for children as young as toddlers!
