The Weston Park Museum is located at the top of one of the city’s most beautiful green spaces, overlooking blossoming trees, a Victorian bandstand, a duck pond, and their favourite structure in Sheffield, the Arts Tower.
The museum, which first opened in 1937 as Sheffield City Museum and Mappin Art Gallery, now recounts the social history of Sheffield while also taking tourists on journeys to far-flung corners of the globe. Before donning a furry coat and visiting the Arctic with Snowy the polar bear, learn about the miners’ strike and the Great Flood of Sheffield.
The airy cafe is a fantastic spot to refuel after a trip through the park and museum, and the gift store is full of toys and natural history-related items.
