Wymondham Heritage Society established the Wymondham Heritage Museum to preserve Wymondham’s and its people’s history. The museum is jam-packed with exhibits and displays that chronicle the narrative of Wymondham and the surrounding area’s residents. The Bridewell, a nationally significant edifice that revolutionised how convicts should be imprisoned, houses the diverse collection. Visitors may even walk through a replica dungeon in the basement to experience what it was like to be a prisoner 200 years ago. Their items are on display in the chambers where the jail, courtroom, and police station used to be. They’re updated on a regular basis to keep each visit as exciting and educational as the last.
